Ok so I recently got "fired" or let go-- In a unjust manner. You see I had been working at a place for about four years.... Yeah long time- --In retrospect I have no clue as to why I stayed as long as I did, but I very much compare this to a toxic- love /hate relationship with a boyfriend. My boyfriend in this case is a well known restaurant with very a very corporate approach.
With Horrible uniforms suited for a man in the 1920's. Anyhow To make a long story short- A manger SPIT in my food- I made a big deal out of it- and they let him go- but in the mix I believe --They "Red Flagged" me, and they where just waiting for the day to throw me out-
I must have rocked the corporate boat- "Can't you shut up & work".... Why must you speak your mind mox??
One lovely lil day I came into work 10 minutes late-- MINE YOU- I did call to give them the heads up.... I worked my shift, and by the end of the day I was basically let go--
I've never been fired before- I've held my own in the work place since I was 16 yrs old--
Not only was this the biggest bullshit ever pulled- it also stripped me of my financial independence-
So as angry as I was- I decided to liberate myself by burning that god awful piece of shit uniform that held me down for so long-

Way to go girl! Payback is Great! Enjoyed the way you told your story! You are a good writer! I have to wear a cook's uniform at work. I was on my way to the security desk to get the keys to lock the reach-ins in the cafe of the casino I work in and a customer walking along side of me said; "Did you know your pants match the carpeting here?" I said," I did'nt realize that till know, but to make matters worse they are making us wear this hat too that matches the pants! We laughed!

I can only imagine working there, I would probably "forget" my hat at home all the time-
